Architectural Mirrors

These framed mirrors are early Georgian in style and owe their inspiration to the designs of the Architect and designer William Kent and his followers in the 1730s and 1740s. This was a time when the study of Architecture, particularly the Palladian Revival was taken very seriously. Wlliam Kent's main patron was the Earl of Burlington who built Burlington House now the Royal Acadamy and Chiswick House.
